New Techgarage Tables

img_20190809_210505Since Techgarage started we have been using the same plastic picnic tables to do all of our work. That just wasn’t optimal or right, while the people working at Techgarage are kids they are also engineers and engineers deserve a nice spacious workspace. So for this RDL season, we decided to create our own inexpensive tables that will be perfect workspaces for even professional engineers. We found these cheap 85 dollar countertop tables from IKEA that we can put on top of the base to act as the table. For the base of the table we cut 120 dollar gladiator shelves in half this gives us a solid metal base for the table after we reinforced it with some wood because cutting the shelves in half took away the reinforcement that was there. We can either put one or two tabletops on top of each shelf. The one tabletop shelves we line up against the wall for anything that needs power like laptops and battery chargers. The Big tables are for building the robots and robots can even be stored underneath the table when the kids leave.

I’m just sad because our table used to be the only special one :(.
